What Choice Eliminator does for your Google Forms

Choice Eliminator is focused on a single job: keeping your multiple-choice questions in sync with real capacity.

Per-Choice Limits

Set a maximum for each individual answer choice in a multiple-choice, checkbox, or dropdown question.

  • Independent limit per choice
  • Works across multiple questions on the same form
  • Leave a limit at 0 to keep a choice unlimited

Automatic Elimination

Once a choice reaches its limit, it disappears from the form for new respondents.

  • Happens on every form submission
  • No manual intervention required
  • Choices reappear if you raise the limit or clear responses

Apply to All

Set the same limit on every choice in a question with one click.

  • Useful for uniform capacities (e.g. every class has 20 seats)
  • Reset a whole question back to unlimited by applying 0

Orphan Choice Cleanup

If you rename or delete a choice from the form, its tracked count sticks around so historical responses still make sense. Unused entries show up as "orphaned" in the sidebar with a delete button — clean them up when you're sure you don't need them.

Works with Shuffled Options

Google Forms' built-in option shuffling is compatible with Choice Eliminator. Choices are eliminated from the underlying question, so every respondent sees the live set regardless of order.

Closed-Form Safety

Choice Eliminator never mutates a form that isn't accepting responses. If you pause the form or it's still unpublished, the add-on waits until the form is live before touching choices.

Clear Responses

Export and reset your form responses to start fresh.

  • Export all responses to a Google Sheet
  • Delete responses from the form
  • Resets all choice counts and restores removed choices
