Get email alerts when your Google Form opens or closes

Stay informed when your Google Forms open or close with email notifications.

Enabling Notifications

  1. Open your Google Form
  2. Click Add-onsForm Scheduler
  3. Go to the Calendar tab
  4. Ensure notifications are toggled on
  5. Enter your email address in the settings tab
  6. Click Save

What You'll Receive

When your form state changes, you'll receive an email containing:

  • The form name
  • What happened (opened or closed)
  • Link to the form

When Notifications Are Sent

Emails are sent when:

  • A calendar event starts and the form opens
  • A calendar event ends and the form closes
  • A response limit is reached and the form closes early

Managing Notifications

Notifications are sent to the email address configured in the add-on settings. You can change this at any time.

Tips

  • Check your spam folder if you don't receive expected notifications
  • Notifications confirm your calendar schedule is working correctly
  • Use notifications to know when to follow up with respondents
  • If your email domain has strict DMARC/SPF policies, use a Gmail address instead
