Get email alerts when your Google Form opens or closes
Stay informed when your Google Forms open or close with email notifications.
Enabling Notifications
- Open your Google Form
- Click Add-ons → Form Scheduler
- Go to the Calendar tab
- Ensure notifications are toggled on
- Enter your email address in the settings tab
- Click Save
What You'll Receive
When your form state changes, you'll receive an email containing:
- The form name
- What happened (opened or closed)
- Link to the form
When Notifications Are Sent
Emails are sent when:
- A calendar event starts and the form opens
- A calendar event ends and the form closes
- A response limit is reached and the form closes early
Managing Notifications
Notifications are sent to the email address configured in the add-on settings. You can change this at any time.
Tips
- Check your spam folder if you don't receive expected notifications
- Notifications confirm your calendar schedule is working correctly
- Use notifications to know when to follow up with respondents
- If your email domain has strict DMARC/SPF policies, use a Gmail address instead
