A slide counts once per target language each time a translation is written, so translating the same slide into the same language again counts again. Slides without text do not count, and fixing a line that needs a check is free. The count resets on the 1st of every month (UTC). A paid plan gives you unlimited slide translations.

The sidebar warns you under the button with both numbers, for example 40 needed and 12 left. A run that does not fit is refused as a whole before anything is translated, so nothing is counted. Pick fewer slides, wait for the 1st of the month, or upgrade.

Yes, for normal use. A paid plan has no monthly count and the sidebar never shows one. Like every unlimited plan it has a fair-use ceiling that stops bulk and automated use.
