Free builds
Without a paid plan, Form Builder gives you 5 free builds a month. A build is one successful read: a pasted text, an uploaded file or photo, or a Drive file whose questions were found.
- A read that fails or finds no questions does not count.
- Copying an existing Google Form does not count. Its questions are copied without a language model.
- Opening a result you already have does not count. Choosing Read it again does.
- The count resets on the 1st of every month (UTC).
After each read, the dialog shows how many free builds are left this month. When none are left, it says No free builds left this month. A paid plan gives unlimited builds. See pricing.
Longer texts and files
A pasted text over the limit is refused: the dialog says That text is too long. Shorten it, or read it in parts, each as its own result, and add them one after the other.
A file with more text than the limit is read from the start, up to the limit. That goes for PDF, Word and PowerPoint files, for Google Docs, Sheets and Slides decks and for text, Markdown, CSV and JSON files. The result then carries a line under Options, in Assumptions made: only the first part of the source was used. If the questions you need sit further in, paste that part as text instead.
More than 100 questions
When a source holds more than 100 questions, the first 100 are kept and a note under Options, in Assumptions made, says how many there were. Read the rest as a second result.
