Features
The add-on's sidebar has two tabs. Form holds the live form, its responses, its settings and the share link; Account covers your plan. The time limit itself is set in the Live form settings dialog, reached from the Form tab or from your dashboard.
The timer
A time limit from 10 seconds to 24 hours. One limit for the whole form, counted from the moment each respondent presses Start. See Set a time limit.
Kept on the server. The deadline comes from Skyfield's clock, not the respondent's device. A refresh resumes the same clock and a late response is refused.
Submit or lock at zero. Either the answers so far are submitted automatically, or the form locks and nothing is kept. See When time runs out.
Show or hide the countdown. Hide the clock for respondents who do better without one. The limit still applies.
Instructions on the Start screen. Your own text, shown before the clock starts: what is allowed, what to have ready.
Fair attempts
One attempt per person. On a form that asks respondents to sign in, each account gets one clock. A second device or a cleared browser resumes it rather than starting over, and you can allow another attempt for one person. See One attempt per person.
A record of leaving the page. How often a respondent left the page while the clock ran, and for how long, beside each response. See The focus record.
Who can respond. Restrict the form to an email domain or to a list of addresses. See Other live form settings.
Responses
Timer started and Time taken. Beside every response in your dashboard, in the CSV export and in the Google Sheet copy. See Times in your responses.
Quiz grading. A quiz is graded on the live form with your answer key. The score sits beside each response, and a results page for respondents is optional. See Quiz mode.
Sync. Your questions are copied to the live form whenever you open the sidebar, and on demand with Sync now. Keep editing the form in Google Forms; the live copy follows.
